From Degree to Career
When you choose the Sonography program at 水果派, you will gain skills that will directly transfer to the workplace. There are several employers in the St. Cloud area that are ready to hire diagnostic medical sonographers.
From learning to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, to being able to critically think and apply learned knowledge, 水果派 graduates learn the necessary skills needed to succeed in the workforce. We teach students to be committed to continuing their knowledge and expertise.
Graduates from our Sonography program learn to recognize normal and pathological ultrasound images of the human organs, musculoskeletal, and vascular systems as well as analyze, record, and process ultrasound images to be interpreted by a physician. 鈥
Students can identify the physical principles and parameters of sound waves in the production and processing of ultrasound imaging, identify normal sonographic anatomy of the human organs, musculoskeletal, and vascular systems, and demonstrate scanning proficiencies in a simulated clinical laboratory setting of the human organs, musculoskeletal, and vascular systems.
After graduation, students will have completed clinical internships and be proficient in the scanning of the human body under the guidance of registered sonographers. We even prepare students to take the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) specialty examinations in physics, abdomen, and OB/GYN.
The goal of the Sonography program at 水果派 is to prepare competent entry-level general sonographers in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains.
